Title: Mechanical Engineer, , Marion, MA Reports to: General Manager Job Hours: Full Time - 40 hours/week Starting Salary: $50,000 to $63,000
Purpose: (In a brief statement, indicate the overall purpose of this position) To design, CAD, and document components and systems for use in integrated monitoring systems, test fixtures and manufacturing fixtures.
Major Responsibilities: - Mechanical design of electro-mechanical components and integrated systems
- Mechanical CAD and engineering documentation of components and assemblies
- Initiate, manage, drive ECOs (Engineering Change Order) engineering change process
- Develop manufacturing processes, manufacturing documentation, test fixtures, manufacturing fixtures/jigs

- Qualifications: (Specific experience, skill, education required)
- - BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- Three years’ minimum experience (3-5 years preferred) encompassing the areas of responsibility
- Must have 3 years’ CAD experience (SolidWorks or ProEngineer preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and drive the engineering documentation process
- Must be familiar with enclosure design principled for watertight and corrosive media applications
- Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO-9000, QS-9000 desirable
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds

- Attendance Requirements:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

- Additional Responsibilities:
- - Support manufacturing with design and support services as required.
- Conduct and support field failure analysis
- - Lead and drive the mechanical engineering and documentation process for the Integrated Systems division
- Provide mechanical engineering expertise and design evaluations, interaction with other engineers, quality assurance, and manufacturing personnel to complete final testing and implement integrated systems.
- Provide manufacturing with support regarding production component issues
- Provide mechanical insight and support to solve product field problems
- Provide mechanical engineering expertise in creation and maintenance of internal control drawings
- - Provide mechanical engineering expertise to purchasing to assist in the procurement of parts
